In 2013 the Trust along with the community of Singleton identified a Peace Garden as part of the vision and the aim of this will be to provide a quiet place where people can visit and reflect.

The build of this is now complete and it is located behind the church overlooking farmland to the east of the village.

A huge thank you goes to Pam & Derek Hawthornthwaite for their help in researching the names of people who either worked or lived in Singleton and who lost their lives in war over the last 120 years. A memorial to these people will be erected in the Peace Garden later this year. To mark the opening of the Peace Garden, the Trust will be hosting a village event after the Harvest Festival at St Annes Church on Sunday 14th October 2018. More details to follow but please put the date in the diary and join us if you can.
