Singleton Woodland Volunteer group

Thanks go to John Highton and Patrick Allen as well as all other volunteers who have given their time to help maintain the woodlands and new paths within Singleton Park. The Trust has donated money to the group to enable them to buy a small tractor and other tools to manage the woodland and paths more effectively. Since the group was started in 2016 a total of 600 new trees have been planted in Singleton Park. This includes 250 trees that were donated by the Woodland Trust.

Tree Planting by Volunteer group

In early November the Volunteer Group met to plant 150 saplings in Singleton Park. A fun day was had by all and the fruits of their labour will continue to be appreciated for many years to come. Village Green

A Landscape Architect has started to look at options for the Village Green and Peace Garden, the former of which will be sited between the Miller Arms and Church Road. Within the next six months, the Trust will present various ideas about the village green to the community and this will be your opportunity to provide input into the design of what will become a focal point in the village.
